At your school, the building is 20 feet tall, a tree's height is 252 inches, and the flagpole is 6 yards high. Which of the three objects casts the longest shadow? A.the building. B.the tree. C.the flagpole. D.not enough information.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i think shadow is proportional to the height....convert all of these heights to feet so you can compare.. building -> 20 ft tree -> 252 inches -> \(\large \frac{252}{12}\) ft flagpole -> 6 yards -> 6(3) ft. i'll let you do the rest :)
