Do the operation inside the parentheses first, then remove the parentheses, then calculate for the numerator..then divide that result with the denominator

24+8=32\[\div\]-2= -16, right?

You have the right idea, but your answer is wrong. You lost the negative from the 4. When multiplying or dividing with negatives one negative = negative answer, two negatives = positive answer. This only has one negative, and since it was your first step it completely changes your answer.
