Evaluate the logarithm. log 0.01 Answer –10 –2 2 10

OpenStudy (mertsj):

\[\log_{10}(.01)=\log_{10}(10)^{-2} \]

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Does that clarify it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2...since 10^x=.01

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

Like @Mertsj , always provide the base of the log.

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

Even though log is usually considered to be log base ten in algebra two,

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

sometimes log is assumed to be ln for calculus.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So we have agreed -2 cause im not getting it with 10

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

Well, you are using log base 10. is 0.01 greater than or less than 10? Less than. THus the log will be negative.
