Depends on what you're going to talk about in the paper. The thesis is a sentence or two that is the basis for what you are going to talk about. For example if your thesis was  “Using computers in a fourth-grade class promises to improve the mathematical reasoning of all students" The rest of the paper is then focused on proving / expanding upon this thought. How, Where, Why, When, etc. 
So we can't help you come up with a thesis without knowing what you're talking about. Obesity is such a broad topic.

Thesis(opinion) Statement = the issue + point of view
To have a proper and strong thesis statement, you must have both the issue your writing about and what you think about the issue,

Pick some aspect of obesity where you can make at least two strong arguments: "Obesity is caused by the personal microbiome... due to a culture that promotes sedentary activity over movement... or due to availability of fast food rather than supermarkets (ie food desert), etc...
