How do I calculate and evaluate logarithms?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give a example?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. SO for example if I had 4978=5^x how would I put that into logarithms?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log5(x)=4978

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

@sundossa i think you mean \(\large log_{5}4978 = x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it like any other multiplications, wat u do tto one side, u must do to the other side , so if u multiply 3 by one side, u do the same to ther side-- same with log, u take log of both side, and anything log raised can be dragged down.
