isnt axis of symetry is the point that u can split so each side is identical when u fold at that point?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since they r parabola, find the dy/dx where it equals 0, that the pooint of symetry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42) y=-x^2+4x-1, dy/dx=-2x+4, -2x+4=0, x=2, so at x=2, that is where the curve changes direction. so axis of symmetry is x=2, vertxt is ( go back to y equation and plug in x, to get y values for x,y cordinates, which is 3, so vertex is (2,3), and for the two points, just pick 2 x values, and solve y to get the two points.

also the graph, im sure u know how =) so ill let that to u, p.s if any error please pm me.
