What is the purpose of the four forces of nature? (Coulomb Force, Gravity, Magnetism and Strong Nuclear force.) I am writing an assignment and struggling to explain it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all the physical events can be described using these forces

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay. do you know as a group what the purpose of them is. if that makes any sense ah im trying to figure out a logical way to put it but i cant.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't understand what does purpose mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean like why do we need it. that sounds stupid when i say it like that but yeah. like what would happen if we didnt have those forces.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ask me swtie :) ive answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you fall from high top building you need to apply gravitational force......to find effects, well why don't you dig down the ground....you need to know electromagnetic to know that....how proton exist on atom....you need to know nuclear force to describe it......and you need to know weak do describe radioactivity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these forces explain the way matter interacts and behaves when it is subjected to fields(electic, magnectic, gravitational and others)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all these forces together are responsible for holding the universe.check out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/fundamental_interaction and science.howstuffworks.com/.../fundamental-forces-of-nature.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, thank you :)
