If ω is cube root of unity, then (1+ω −ω^2)^7 equals ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(1 + w - w^2 ) ^7\] This is the equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[1+\omega+\omega ^{2}=0\] u know this? @Akshat4-10 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ya...I know that. I substitute that in the equation...I am able to get an answer..but I need to verify if I am right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u wanna verify, the answer is \[-128 \omega ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My answer is coming out as 128w. Isn't \[(w^2) ^7\] equal to -w ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(\omega ^{2})^{7}=\omega ^{14}=(\omega ^{3})^{4}\omega ^{2}=\omega ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks a lot! :)

welcome, buddy :)
