I am about to take a German class in the fall. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being breathing easy) how difficult is learning German?

My guess: If your native language is English, then German has the difficulty 5.

I'm learning german too. It is not that hard if you have a good teacher. Maybe a 5?

I'm currently learning German and it is awesome! My prof is hard, but she is also very fair. I would give German a 4 in difficulty. It really helps if your teacher loves the language like mine does.

My teacher is really nice and makes it fun to learn. People are always giving up but I encourage you to give it a go :) It will be worth it!!!!!

German is about a 6. The verb to the end of the sentance and seprable verbs are confusing to no end.

At the beginning once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy (about 5) but when you reach the more complex stuff and go into the detail it get MUCH harder!
