compares and contrasts the structure and function of viruses with all living cells.
viruses can interject its DNA into the organisms body.and that makes the cell infected. so viruses cannot live by theirself. It has to use other cells ribosome, enzymes etc.It has no ribosomes or any other organelles with lamina.
i need alot of information becasue i have to write an essay on it ...
viruses for example HIV causes AIDS which means that viruses can cause any other serious problems too.And viruses has 2 options to live with the cell. For example a bacteriophage in E.coli can choose to break the cell up.Others can choose too live with the cell which means that they become neighborhoods except one of them always uses others nutrients, enzymes etc.
anything else i can put because i have to write an essay .
You have just learned about the characteristics of viruses, prokaryotic cells, and eukaryotic cells. Viruses are similar to cells, yet they are so different that they are not classified as living things. Write an essay that compares and contrasts the structure and function of viruses with all living cells. this is what the teacher gave me
It sounds like you need more information than you're getting here, and I'd bet you need sources you can cite... I would suggest googling for "biology of viruses" or "virus living?" or "virus structure compare to cell structure" and perhaps seeing what your textbook says. It sounds from the question like that material was covered in the chapter - using that material would be easiest because you already have it in front of you!
