Lines CD and DE are tangent to circle A shown below. http://s1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc513/wattpadbookcoverstry/Math/?action=view¤t=image0034e8483f4.gif If Arc CE is 98°, what is the measure of ∡CDE? 56° 49° 131° 82°

OpenStudy (anonymous):

82

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

180 - 98 = 82

OpenStudy (anonymous):

180 - 98 = 82 (arcs are like triangles they have the same measure)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Arcs and triangles are similar triangles egual 180 (as do arcs) so all you have to do is subtract 98 from 180 which gives you 82.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

360 -98 ---- 262 there is a thrm that says for this setup we do: (outer-inner)/2 262 -98 --- 164/2 = 82

Cant you just skip to 180 - 98 to make the problem more understandable?
