tan(y) = opp/adj tan(y) = 10/10 tan(y) = 1 ----------------------------- sin(x) = opp/hyp sin(x) = 5/10 sin(x) = 1/2 Now compare tan(y) and sin(x). Notice that the second is half of the first. Or put another way, the first is double the second. So 2*sin(x) = tan(y)
