Find the maximum or minimum of: f(x) = x2 + 4x + 4. What is the value of x that produces the maximum (or minimum)

have you done any differentiation? i can do it with or without. differentiation is this kind of thing by the way: \[\frac{dy}{dx}\]

so first factorize (x+2)(x+2) or (x+2)^2 so there is only one x-int which is clearly x=-2 (using the Null Factor Law) and u also notice how it is repeating because there are two x-intercepts at the same point, therefore the parabola would just touch that point (-2,0) and so the minimum is at (-2,0)
