12 is 60% of what?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

Think of it this way.... is means equals of means multiplication what means x 60% = 0.60 so... 12 = 0.60x

sam (.sam.):

\[\frac{60}{100}\times x=12\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you multiply 100 by 60? thank what? You get .6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or 60/100 divided by 1/12 ;) I think...unless my brain jsut went crazy :/ which is quite possible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or no you'd multiply that bc I already inverted it soo 60/100 x 1/12

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

lol it's 12 x 100/60

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you get 20% either way :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean 20....ugh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what I said -__- and you're supposed to show the work not just give answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. :) That really helped.

OpenStudy (apoorvk):
