Can anyone help me with complex conjugates. What are the properties of it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(A)^{*}\] For example what it we multiply it with a constant? What about with a variable x \[(xA)^{*}\] \[(aA)^{*}\] Where a is a constant can we simplify this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm doing hermitian operators but the only problem I have is how to treat the complex conjugate inside an integral.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x is complex?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can take a or out so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(a.(x+yi))*=a.x-a.yi=a(x-yi)=a.(x+yi)* \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what if you have\[ (\phi d/dx\ )^{*} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where phi is a function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y think you can do the same
