Margaret traces a circle with a radius of 20 cm like the one shown below. She will color in the shaded region, What is the approximate area of the shaded region?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks to everyone for their help...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would help if you completed the question, i have no idea how big the shaded region is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/4th of the circle is shaded, and the circle has a radius of 20 cm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(pi)r^2 gives you area of the circle so (pi)20^2 divide the result by 4 because it's 1/4th of the circle and you'll get the area of the shaded region

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks, jaersyn.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 314 doing what jaersyn said to do

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

you need to find one-fourth of the area of the circle. right? Yeah you 're right!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh. tnx! im gonna fan u

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

\[\huge \mathfrak{\color{crimson}{<tips Hat>}}\]
