it would help if you completed the question, i have no idea how big the shaded region is
1/4th of the circle is shaded, and the circle has a radius of 20 cm.
(pi)r^2 gives you area of the circle so (pi)20^2 divide the result by 4 because it's 1/4th of the circle and you'll get the area of the shaded region
