Need my work checked,,, If you buy a school raffle ticket for $1, your overall probability of winning at least one of the prizes is 0.04. You can improve your odds of winning something by buying two tickets. What is the probability that one or the other of your tickets will win something? (Round your answer to the nearest ten-thousandth.) I did,. 2*0.04*.98=0.0784

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Where did you get the .98?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk ,... there was a question similar on yahoo answers so i figured that is waht i was suposed to do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

strangely worded question, but i think you want \(.04+.04-.04\times .04\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.0.0014 B.0.7400 C.0.0396 D.0.0748 E.0.0784

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those were my answer choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm i get \(.04+.04-.04\times .04=0.0784\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so we get the same answer!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
