Optics Question! A thin film of material is to be tested on a glass sheet for use in making reflective coatings. The film has an index for refraction nf=1.38. White light is incident normal to the surface of the film. It is observed that at a point where the light is incident on film, light reflected from the film appears green. (Lambda=525nm) Calculate the minimum thickness of the film that would produce this green reflection.

Index of refraction of air=1 Index of refraction of glass=1.5 Frequency of green light= 5.71E14 Wavelength of green light in film=380nm Speed of light in film=2.17E8 Diagram of setup: |dw:1335048445139:dw|
