What is the area of a circle that has a circumference of pi?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the formula for circumference of a circle? solve for the radius and plug that into the formula for the area of a circle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area = pi r^2 circumference = 2 pi r circumference = pi pi / 2pi = r area = pi(pi/2pi)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

circumference= \[2\Pi*r\] so \[\Pi=2\Pi*r\] r=1/2 Area =\[\Pi*r^2\] but r=1/2 area=\[\Pi/4\]
