What might happen if the pair of wires (one live and one neutral) leading to the brightly lit lamp, shown in the picture, is cut at X with a pair of scissors? A. Current will come out of X and go through the air. B. The bulb will go out and current will pass through the scissors causing a short circuit. C. The bulb will light up still because the scissors will carry current to it. D. The bulb will become much brighter.
try one....
Well, that's why I posted it so I didn't have to. Since YOU'RE supposed to answer my question, by all means go ahead
It should depend on the type of scissors you are using. If you are using scissors made entirely of metal, then you my be in for a shock. If the scissors is of metal, but made of platic handle, then you won't get any shock Option A is baseless. It can only happen whenever there is a electic potential > 3.6* 10^6 eV . Option C and D are not possible because there is no current reaching the bulb.
i it allways usefull to try our insticts in safe mode. B
Well, thanks to both for spending a little time on the question
