From this Google Apps Script tutorial (https://developers.google.com/apps-script/articles/docslist_tutorial), I know it's possible to find items on the Docs list. To go one step further, it would be great to tell Google Apps Script to find an item on the docs list and share it with a specified user. I'm new to Google Apps scripts: does anyone know the kind of language I'd have to use to share a doc?

since this doesn't look like a homework question, may as well just give a direct answer. https://developers.google.com/apps-script/guide says "The Google Apps Script language is JavaScript." and that's what the code on the page behind your link looks like.
