what problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1335109807917:dw| solving equations in quadratic form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2(x/x+1)^2-5(x/x+1)-3=0

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

- restriction that x not can being -1 because than the fractions are undefined - sign x/(x+1) =y so than will get 2y^2 -5y -3=0 y_1,2=(5+/- sqrt(25+24))/4 =(5+/- sqrt49)/4 =(5+/- 7)/4 = =-2/4 =-1/2 and 12/4 =3 - so now make x/(x+1) = -1/2 2x = -x-1 3x=-1 x_1=-1/3 x/(x+1) =3 x=3(x+1) x=3x+3 -3=2x x_2=-3/2 - hope so much that you will understand it good luck bye
