Plot the point given in polar coordinates and find other polar coordinates (r,theta) for the point for which: A) r>0, -2pi is less than or equal to theta which is <0 B) r<0, 0 is less than or equal to theta <2pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please help me :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm... r is the absolut value. As much as I know it can't be <0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

r is the distance from the origin, so it can't be negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the answer?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

The answer to B) is : There can be no point the reason being that r must be positive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is A= 5,-4pi/3 B= -5,5pi/3 I have no idea how they did this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whats the point given? Or does it not list one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the point is (5pi,2pi/3)
