In an open fridge there are 7 types of diet soda,4 types of regular soda, and 2 bottles of water. If a bottle is chosen at random, could we realistically say the probability of choosing diet is 7/13? Why or why not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The probability should be Number of diet things / number of total things 7/13 says that there are 7 diet things and 13 total things. There are two questions you should ask. First, are there 7 diet things? If you count water as diet, then there are 9. Second, are there 13 total things? 7+4+2 = 13?

yes there are 13 total things, and no I don't think water is counted as diet
