2a^2 + a - 28. Factor completely
(4+a) (-7+2 a)
Hint: Find two numbers that multiply to get -56, but add to get 1 @Unam should be scolded for giving answers without explanations.
I was gonna explain it afterwards, figure out he needed the answer first
and then afterwards I'll explain it...that's my strategy, but thanks for your clear explanation
If the student is already here, you should try to guide the student to come up with the answer him or herself by explaining the steps of how to solve it.
Oh ok, I'll do that next time...thanks
Posting the answer first does nothing but simply violate OS code of conduct policy.
Oh ok...so I guess I'm not the only one who do that...
hero, i know ur trying to help him but one mistake isnt the end of the world
Too many users are doing the very same thing Unam is doing. Don't worry, the issue will be thoroughly sorted out in the up and coming Open House session next week.
thanks Hero....sometimes i'm in rush and i just do that....i hope when people get the answers, hopefully they learn how to get it...in that way they will be honest with themselves :)
They don't need the answer. They need to understand the problem, the explanation and the steps involved that lead to the answer. Getting the answer is a conclusion the original poster of the question should be able to figure out for him or herself, but only after a clear explanation of how to properly approach the question has been made. If anyone gives just the answer, the user still will have no clue how they got the answer.
