On a coordinate grid, a park is located at (3,0) and the pool is located at (-3,3). If the tennis courts are the midpoint between the park and the pool, what is the approximate distance from the pool to the tennis courts? (Note: 1 unit equals 1 mile)

Distance formula: sqrt((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)) x1,y1=3,0 x2,y2=-3,3 so sqrt((-3-3)^2+(3-0)^2) sqrt((-6)^2+(3)^2) sqrt(36+9) sqrt(45)=6.708 miles from the park to the pool. 6.708/2 (because the tennis courts are the midpoint, which is halfway) = 3.354 miles
