When citing a book that has in intro, but you also need to cite the entire book, do you just cite the book in its entirety, or do two separate cities?

It really depends on teacher preference but I would think that a single citation for the book would be sufficient.

Usually, you cite the book and its author. Also bear in mind what style of citation you were required to use (APA, MLA, or others). What's important there is to cite it properly to avoid plagiarism.
