cell theory say that new cell are formed from pre exisiting cell and this theory is given by schleiden and schwann but they are unable to explain the concept how these new cell arises from pre exisiting cell so cell theory was again proposed by robert hooke by makin it in modified form known as modern cell theory and said that new cell arises from pre exisiting cell by cell division
