I'm supposed to simplify that.

OpenStudy (phi):

do you know how to write 9 as its prime factors? 9=3 *3 18= 3*3*2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, sqrt(a*b) = sqrt(a) * sqrt(b). You could factor those numbers into their prime factorization if you want and that'll help you bring it down to its lowest form... 18 = 2 * 3 * 3. 9 = 3 * 3.

got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That could be written as: sqrt(9/18) also. That would simplify to sqrt(1/2) = 1/sqrt(2) = sqrt(2)/2
