How much will you save if you buy an item listed at $575.50 at a 30 percent discount?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you take thirty percent out of something, you take 3/10ths out. what you have remaining is 7/10ths of the original. So you could multiply the original by 7/10 and that will be the original with 3/10ths taken out... so if you take out 30 percent of $575.5, then you have 7/10 * $575.5.
