prove: (1+cotx)^2= (1+cos^(2)x)/sin^(2)x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

check that what you have written down is correct... i entered this into the calculator and found it's not an identity...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah the i mean to put after the = (1 + 2sinxcosx/sin^(2)x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so with that modification and as of now, that still isn't an identity.... if the left side is written as "(1+cotx)" without the ^2, then it would be...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you write it out using the draw?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o well nope thats how the teacher gave it.....so if its not an identity then idk why she'd give it to us:P o well... i tried the draw thing...it wasn't pretty haha
