Write an equation of a line in slope intercept form that is perpendicular to y = -4x -2 and passes through the point (-16, -11).

This is similar to the last problem except you have to calculate the slope of a perpendicular line. That is the opposite reciprocal of the slope of your original line. Once you've figured out your slope, the problem is solved exactly like the last problem.

so your slope here is -4. What is the reciprocal of that?
what is 1/4 times -16
a hint... it's the same as \[\frac{-16}{4}\]
