Please help!!! Find the area of a regular pentagon with side length = 12 and an apothem = 3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the area of a regular polygon is (1/2) * (apothem) * (perimeter) This is what we need to know: n = number of sides s = length of a side r = apothem (radius of inscribed circle) R = radius of circumcircle we know: n=5; s=12; r=3 but we are now missing R.

forget that stuff I put of what we need to know we just need the equation (1/2)*(apothem)*(perimeter) (1/2)*(3)*(5*12) (1/2)*(3)*(60) = 90 Area of this pentagon is 90
