Although genetics plays a significant role in determining one's lifetime risk of developing type 2 diabetes, there are also several lifestyle changes you can undertake to help lower your risk. Since diabetes is a metabolic disorder, or an error in metabolizing food into energy, which of your choices might best effect such a disorder?
