Suppose the sides of one quadrilateral have length 3,5,3, and 5 in that order, and the sides of a second quadrilateral have lengths 6,10,6, and 10 in that order. Explain why the two quadrilaterals do not have to be similar.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they don't have to be similar because their angles do not have to be the same: you can have a rectangle with sides 3, 5 , 3, 5 with all 90 degree angles, and you can have a parallelogram with sides 6, 10, 6, 10, with no angles equal to 90 degrees.

ohhh ok. Thanks!
