Driving on the North West Expressway, Debbie averaged 62 miles per hour for 3 1/4 hours. How far did she drive?

the easiest way to solve this is to look at units: speed is in: miles/hour time is given in: hours distance ( what we want) is given in: miles so in oreder to get miles, we need to multiply the speed by the time: 62 miles/hour*3.25 hours the hours cancel out and leave us with miles: 62*3.25 = 201.5 miles
