When you say "x2", do you mean "x*2"? When you say y;=|X|, do you mean y=|x|?

First equation: y = x^2 + 1. So you want to try some values of x, and see what y they give. x=-2, this gives y=5. So graph the point (-2,5). Now try x=-1, this gives y=2. So graph the point (-1,2). Do this also for x=0 and x=1 and x=2. This should give you an idea of what the function looks like. Draw a line going through all the points you graphed to see what the function looks like. Second equation: follow the same procedure.
