Given f(x)=x^2 +3x -18 solve: f(x)>0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@experimentX ? is it infinite no of solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have a parabola that opens up, so it will be positive outside the zeros and negative between them. your first job is to find them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x^2 +3x -18=0 \] \[(x+6)(x-3)=0\] \[x=-6,x=3\] so your answer is \[x<-6\] or \[x>3\]
