Question

If the average of x numbers is y, find the largest integer?

Can somebody please elaborate it for me? Or give me a generalized formula, and some concept as well? I will highly appreciate. :)

Let's see:
Mean(1,2,3,4,5) = 3 and the largest number is 5
Mean(1,2,3,4,5,6,7) = 4 and the largest number is 7
Mean(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) = 5 and the largest number is 9
So largest number is (Mean*2) - 1. Largest integer is 2y - 1
