can someone help me solve the attached problem... the answer is supposed to be 1 and i keep getting x^2 over x-1

there seems to be some problem with the question, instead of x^2+x+2 in the numerator it should be x^2+3x+2,then only u will get 1

idk i've checked it like a hundred times and i can't figure it out... good to know someone else is having the same prob
