THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! can you show me the steps in between?

Its straight forward. you need a thrid degree polynomial with remainder -4 when divided by x+2 so (x+2)^3 is a third degree polynomial when divided by x+2 gives remainder 0 so the answer should be (x+2)^3-4 Now I expanded (x+2)^3 which is (x+2)(x+2)(x+2) =x^3+6x^2+12x+8 (x+2)^3-4 should be x^3+6x^2+12x+4
