x^2+5x-6=o what is the solutions for x?

Look at the first and last term x^2 and -6 (find the factors of both of them) x^2 (x and x) -6(1,2,3) and the factors of both numbers have to multiply and then add to give the middle number which is +5 so therefore the answer is (x+6)(x-1)
