Hi all....I really need some help here with these 2 questions.
1). A jet maintains an airspeed of 550 mph at a bearing of 225 degress. The velocity of the jet stream is a constant 80 mph from the west. Find the actual speed and direction (as a bearing) of the aircraft.
2). The pilot of an aircraft heads directly Due East but is faced with a wind speed of 40 mph pushing him a bearing of 315 degress. If the pilot maintains an airspeed of 250 mph, what compass heading will he actually maintain? What is the speed of the aircraft?
