g/f (-5) = g(-5)/f(-5) Simply evaluate each function at -5 and divide g by f. As for domain values not valid, you have f(x) in the denominator and that can't be zero. At what value of x would f(x) be zero? Find that number.

so for the first one wouldn't that just leave me with gf?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g(x) = (2+x)(-x+4) So, g(-5) = (2-5)(5+4) = (-2)(9) = -18 f(x) = 7-6x So, f(-5) = 7-6(-5) = 7+30 = 37. g/f(-5) = -18/37. Domain value that can't be valid is when 7-6x = 0 OR x = 7/6.
