A car manufacturing organization plans to procure new computers for its three departments, Front Office, Design, and Back Office. The Front Office is responsible for: Managing all external and internal inquiries and concerns, and answering them by either telephone or e-mail. Creating office notices and distributing them to specified departments. Maintaining attendance records of staff members and saving them on the server computer in the Back Office.

The Design department creates designs for new cars and modifies existing designs. The staff members in the Design department work on Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications to create 3-D designs. The Back Office runs a server that works as the central application server for the organization. The Front Office uses the attendance application running on this server and saves the attendance records of staff members on this server. The management of the organization wants you to recommend the right computer configuration for each department. By Tuesday, April 24, 2012, study the requirements of each department and recommend a computer configuration including the hardware, software components, and peripheral devices of the computer. Describe the configuration of each computer and explain the rationale for the recommendation. Post it to this Discussion Area. Review and critique the work of at least two other students by the end of the week.

That is a research question that is quite difficult for someone to help with, without doing the research.

Can you help or no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What computer do you think would be suitable and why?

OpenStudy (espex):

You would at least need to review the minimum system requirements for each of the software packages mentioned and suggest a system that meets or exceeds those. This question is not something that a person can just answer for you. So barring a specific question, no I guess I cannot help.
