a. Find the surface area of the cube. b. Find the volume of the cube.

OpenStudy (luffingsails):

Surface Area of a Cube = 6 x (Area of one side) Volume of a Cube = (Length of One Side)^3 Just apply that, you already know the length of one side (given in your picture).

could you set up the problem for me with better understanding?

OpenStudy (luffingsails):

I'll set up the Area for you. A side is given as 4x-5. Then Area = 6 * (Area of One Side) Area = 6 * (4x-5) * (4x-5) or Area = 6 * (4x-5)^2
