13/18-5/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13/18-5/6 13/18-15/18=-2/18=-1/9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get that 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we need both denominators to be the same in order to add or subtract fractions. since 6 is a factor of 18, the easiest thing to do is multiply 6 by 3 to get 18. but what you do to the denom you must also do to the numerator. so multiply -5 by 3 and you get -15. ok?

oh ok thank you
