Hey..i had this question for a long time in my mind. I wanted to ask if it is possible to crack iit in one year preparation. Although my basics are clear, i want to make my concepts even clearer. I havent been able to do that . SO in one year time, can i make it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of course, it is. I have known several people who cracked IIT, that too below 500 in just one year. You can make it. All you need to is to study.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Most important part is to be consistent. Consistency is very important in your efforts.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh..so are there people who crack iit in just one year of studies?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of course, there are.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And you don't need to study 8-10 hours like all the other people say or boast off, start slow but be consistent. It doesn't matter if you study 4 hours but you will have to study regularly every day for the year, you will surely make it to IIT. But the most important part is CONSISTENCY and of course hard work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks for the info- i heard rumors that with one year no one has cracked it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

FALSE/LIARS, back in my coaching one guy cracked JEE this year, that too in just one year. Several people crack IIT in one year.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks a lot - but how do i manage my time, with both 12th std portions and 11th std portions to cover up again( i didnt study the ending chapters of 11th std so well) so i need to read them again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Important thing in JEE is the problem solving, don't worry about 11th now, you can't change it. It happens with most of the students, nearly everyone messes up their 11th. I would advise you to get a basic problem solving book either HC Verma or DC Pandey, I personally prefer DC Pandey (for Physics). Try to solve the mechanics from it in the two month holiday. You don't need to get too advanced as JEE isn't like before. I can't guide on Chemistry, as I never studied Chemistry, but you try to study it. Don't ignore it. As for Math you will need to practice Algebra and Co-ordinate Geometry. Do it all in the two month summer break. Then start 12th topics, and do remember Problem Solving.

The toughest part in Physics is Mechanics and Algebra in Math. Rest is easy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks..you gave me some motivation atleast..:D thanks a lot..if have further doubts, can i ask you later if thats okay with you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah sure. Don't believe in what other are saying if IIT means a lot to you, you will make it. Just study hard.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i will. I promise.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:-) Goodluck.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

OpenStudy (aravindg):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks! :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AravindG - thanks! we can post articles which gives motivation. I realised the importance of motivation in preparation for all these competitive exams.
