My homework tells me to solve using percent equation. So for this problem; 26 is 130% of what number I got 33.8. Is that correct?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if 26 is more than 100% of another number; than that number will definantly be smaller than 26 ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

percent means roughly; per hundred. if we divide a number by 100, we get 1%; and with 1% we can multiply that by whatever we want to get whatever percentage we seek

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[\frac{n}{100}*130 = 26\]should be what you want to solve for n

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait so what exactly would i do? Solving this using the percent equation?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im not sure what you mean by "percent equation".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a = p% * b
