Find a vector of magnitude 8 in the direction v = 10i - 15j.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take the magnitude of the given vector: sqrt((10)^2+(-15)^2)=sqrt(325) v/sqrt(325)=10/sqrt(325) (i)-15/sqrt(325)(j) Multiply both componets by 8: 80/sqrt(325)(i)-120/sqrt(325)(j)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can verify this by taking the magnitude of : 80/sqrt(325)(i)-120/sqrt(325)(j) It should give you 8 :)
